In October, we shared our plans to partner with UNC Health through an initial, 10-year comprehensive Management Services Agreement (MSA) that would result in Southeastern Health becoming the newest member of the UNC Health family. We’re excited to share that the Southeastern Health Board of Trustees has approved and signed the comprehensive MSA with UNC Health. With the MSA now finalized, we are officially part of the UNC Health family.
This exciting milestone reflects the hard work of our Board, leadership team, physicians, employees and community members to put us in a place to be taking this important step forward together. Aligning with North Carolina’s leading public academic health system will allow Southeastern Health to become an even stronger regional healthcare leader, providing enhanced opportunities to recruit and retain additional highly-skilled physicians and other caregivers to the area, maintain and grow the services we offer today while keeping care local, and positively impacting the health and wellbeing of the communities we serve.
“Through our proposed, comprehensive MSA we will benefit from UNC Health’s existing population health management strategy and commitment to addressing health disparities with innovative, patient-centered solutions.”
“From the beginning, the Board has remained steadfast in our commitment to finding the right path forward for Southeastern Health. UNC Health believes in and supports the Southeastern mission to provide quality, regional healthcare in a safe, compassionate and efficient environment.”
“UNC Health shares our values and commitment to providing quality, compassionate and strong local healthcare, making a long-term regional partnership a natural fit for both organizations.”
